This site is dedicated to the memory of Ify Soile, through the eyes of Ifende.

Our beautiful Ifeanyichuckwu C.C. Soile, known to most as ‘Ify,’ was born on 15th October 1984 at St Thomas's Hospital, London. She was a welcome addition to the Uzoka family. Ify’s early academic years included St Luke's Primary School, London, Igbinedion Education Centre, Nigeria and Virgo Fidelis Convent Senior School, London. She was a popular and extremely intelligent pupil who excelled in swimming galas, was a school Prefect and founded the highly popular gospel choir, Innovate. Ify struggled with acute asthma and severe eczema, the latter of which she overcame as a young woman. She was a prodigious musical talent and became a self-taught acoustic drummer by the age of six. From this age onwards, she played at many church conventions and events. Ify aspired to take her drumming further and witnessed the musical talent she possessed from such a young age, in her three sons. As a teenager, Ify dealt with many personal issues which took its toll on several parts of her life, including her weight. However, as a woman she loved health and fitness. She initiated everyone close to her, into a healthy lifestyle and took good care of herself. For a short period of time, she provided professional help and support to others who were implementing weight management and healthy eating strategies. Ify always knew that she was going to settle down at an early age and she did! She met her husband Femi Soile when she was 17 years old and later, they went on to have Malachi, Naphtali and Ezekiel Soile. Family was always Ify’s number one priority; Femi and Ify joyously married in the summer of 2010. Her husband and three sons were the centre of her world. She lived her life as a completely dedicated Wife and Mother. Despite the constant societal struggles thrown at them, Ify and her family served the Lord with happiness in their hearts. She found great refuge in the word of God. With help from the Holy Spirit, she was not swayed by the many challenges she faced throughout her Christian walk. A key Bible reading Ify always stood by and sought to practice in her daily life was, 1 Corinthians 13:4-13 and Romans 6: 1-4. She organised many church events over the years and was a driving force in the church choir. Ify loved the Lord! She had a close loving relationship with all her siblings, especially with her younger sister Ifende, which she described as “extra special and unique.” Also, she was a dutiful daughter and cherished her parents, with an enormous soft-spot for her Father. Ify had an infectious smile, a loud laugh, a cheeky, naughty sense of humour and really knew how to a light up a room with her undeniably charismatic presence. In November 2012, Ify graduated from Birkbeck University of London with a BA in Politics and Society. This was no mean feat for her, as she worked all the way through her final year and was pregnant whilst battling a serious occurrence of ill health. Yet Ify, ever the determined woman, wrote her dissertation and took her exams whilst relentlessly caring for her growing family. Completing her Undergraduate studies was a great academic achievement in her life and she was just as pleased to attend the graduation of her husband Femi, in the same month. In January 2013, Ify began her Postgraduate studies and was looking forward to starting a fantastic, life changing job on 25th February 2013. Sadly this was not to be, as she suddenly passed away on 23rd February 2013. Our beloved Ify is and will always be, dearly missed. She lived an extraordinary life within her 28 years and accomplished so very much in a short space of time. We are so proud of the amazing Wife, Mother, Sister, Daughter, Friend et al, that she was. Her legacy will live on forever through her sons and those who she has left behind. We thank God for the life of Ifeanyichukwu C.C Soile. ‘For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labour for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know! I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far;’ Philippians 1:21-23 (NIV)
